PLACENTA anyone?

Today I've pampered my car the most since many many years, I gave her a thorough bath + vacumm early in the morning by myself, both interior and exterior, went for engine oil change, oil filter as well as spark plug. :) Cost me, but yet its worthwhile! Feel bad for treating her so badly all these while....

After all the pampering was done, I went to check the price of Procenta in the nearby pharmacy. It was introduce to me in SASA weeks back when I window shopping. I was thinking to get a beauty supplement as I'm well over 25, (where my metabolisme heading downwards). The promoter recommended it as the best supplement they have on shelf there. Oh well... it was RM188 for 10 bottles currently with current promo of 2 extra collagen drink on pack. It was the cheapest price for placenta you could get. For collagen supplements you can get it at a cheaper price of course.

When I was checking it out in the pharmacy today, the shopkeeper inroduce me to a collagen drink instead as procenta was not sold there. It was priced at RM71 for 6 bottles of collagen+royal jelly. NH colla-plus they call it. The shopkeeper advice me not to consume placenta concerntrade since I am still young, she emphasize that consuming placenta is different from collagen in the sense that once you consume it, you must continue else..... the effect might be worsen. I was pondering, was she advicing that because she don't have it in store? Oh well but she did agree that placenta concerntrade have better results that collagen. ^_^ After that I was determined to google more about placenta and its benefits. Well thiking of the extraction process is a bit disgusting though.... and .... I forgot to mention, I bought the NH colla-plus to try out.....

After googling about placenta and all...., I couldn't resist a blog posting.... why?

Here is why....
-----> I've found out that humans are actually eating their own placenta (after giving birth to own children) Could you imagine??

Well, I never thought of that until I read about it awhile ago... well maybe I'm just out-dated.

Could you imagine yourself eating these??? Gross!! yet... its nutrition value are exceptional....

Here are some simple steps on how to prepare and keep your placenta for long term consumption as shared in one of the forums!

1. Rinsing it off good

2. Let the surface blood to drip off

3. Steaming it for 15 min on each side (till it doesn't drip blood when you cut it)

4. Slicing it in 1/8 " strips

5. Dehydrate it till so dry that it snaps when broken

6. Grinding it in the coffee grinder, and putting it into vegicaps

7. Enjoy it with champagne/red wine

Remember: It must be prepared fresh~ so get your hands down dirty to prepare it once you are discharge from the hospital k?

Yeah~ Its finally over....

Yesterday was ALTERA Toastmaster's club first International Speech and Table Topic contest. Being one of the CC in our club, I was delibrately forced to participated as one of the contestant in the International Speech contest. Well, I do enjoy giving speeches, but sometimes its just bothers me if I'm busy and I can't prepare myself or perform as I want to... I wanted to quit all these while before the contest... but after the contest, guess what? I was actually grateful for joining the contest!!
WHY? There are few things I've learnt throughout the process. These are specifically for me. item 1 is the one thing i learn't this time around.

1) Your speech should be fully written by yourself. The speaker should be the Author!! Don't Cheat! the end results would not be as good as it were yours. I've experience it myself and I hope to give a true speech which meets my own expectation someday! Stay tune for my first AC assignment!! :)

2) Don't get over excited, talk slowly and body language should be just nice, too much ain't good at all. This is my personal mistake, most people have inadequate body language, but for me its just the other way around.

3) Hand gestures should be used appropriately. Don't create sound when using hand gestures as this will distract audience attention as well as annoy them. My bad habit of claping hands when giving out speeches.. probably because I was nervous?

4) Be prepared!! Do try to give your speech in front of the mirror so that you can know how you look like when you are giving the speech and if your hand gestures are appropriate! Always time yourself, for me, trial for slower that actual speeches. Wonder why??? maybe I'm too nervous?!?
Special Thanks to the committee for organizing this event. It gave us a platform to learn and we enjoyed ourself very much at the same time!

What so different about CNY this year compared to last year?

1) Nap many many times.. why? probably too tired...

2) Did not login to work on CNY 1st and 2nd day.... probably getting old and lazy

3) Less visiting compared to last year...= less ang pows why? Just a fact... too lazy to make the proactiv move, and less invites from friends...

4) Little nadal is here to share our joy of welcoming 2010 CNY! :)

Wow!! amazing!! Samsung J-700 is pretty amazing!! recommended phone to buy if you are looking for something simple and tough.... WOnder why TOUGH?

well, netherless to say those who know me well enough, will know how i take care of my things... one word.. like S***.... why? i never know how to appreciated things that I use..... why? .............. bad habit since young.... geez.... so not like a girl.....

Why it is tough?

it suffered alot from various dropping... but today it suffered even more......usually it was just a table height, or from my pocket height... but today! it drop approximately from 3M height.... i went to my rooftop to do my laundry and the phone accidentally slip from my hand as i was struggling to hang the cloths and talk on the phone at the same time... bad me.... bad bad me...

Amazingly! the call dint drop (as the battery still stays on the phone...) hohoho...

"Good Bye!" Wisdom Tooth....

I decided to have one of my wisdom tooth removed today! I was expecting something simple eventhough alot told me that wisdom tooth removal may be pretty scary.... alot of after effect may happen -> if the dentist is not "pro" enough... or if the patient do not handle with care.... bla bla bla.....

Somehow all these was not stored in my brain UNTIL, i reach the dental clinic.... laying down at the chair getting ready for the operation..... not sure how... but i started to I freaked out!

I was not observing what the doctor was doing back then.... just praying that it will be over soon..... it was scary at first, and i was praying for it to get over, and geez... the medicine really make me unconscious!! I wasn't even aware that it was out..... I only know that the most painful part was having the painkiller injection, that time my Dgums was not numb yet ma..... due to the fact that my tooth was well align (it was facing straight up although there was no space for it to protrude further.....), it took the dentist less than 20mins to settle the tooth..... haiz....I'm missing it already.... felt pretty sad it have to leave me... it looked strong and healthy...

I was advise to bite on a cotton to absorb the blood... and I continously change it....

I'm damn broke now...

Geez..... My teeth wasn't giving me any additional expenditure except for tooth brush, tooth paste and annual cleaning.....ever since I was born.... primary school dental was government sponsored ma... and now.... all of the sudden.... it gave my pocket a big hole....

RM430 -> Including Cleaning, Filling x 6, x-ray x 2
RM630 -> Surgical extraction... bye wisdom tooth.....

Having slight fever, vomit feeling now.... hope it go over soon.........

Mother's Day Luncheon @ Look Yuen

Mother's Day :- Family Outing

Woke up at 7am this morning, dint had enough sleep, but can't get back to bed as well. After washing myself, I went to have breakfast followed with a morning wet market groceries shopping as well as hypermarket shopping with my dear mum.

Mum requested to go over to mainland for lunch as well as to visit our ducky who was left apart from us now.... So, we went. Too bad I dint took photos of the ducky.... it is bigger and independent now... so sad that it doesn't follow your footsteps anymore. But luckily it is still brave enough to eat from our hands... :)

After feeding ducky and letting it out for a walk, I played with our little pet doggy, "RAOUL". He is a black color minature pincher.. Well, I forgot to took photo of it today... so its handsome face have to wait for my future posts.

Not long after we went for our mother's day luncheon at "Look Yuen" restaurant at Bukit Tengah.

We had a mix fruit platter + rojak as appetizer.

As for the main dishes, we had, Fish Maw Soup, Mix Vege, Sour Sweet Pork, Fried Marinated Chicken, Pig foot. It cost us RM69 including a Jug of Apple Juice. It was a meal for 6. Worth? ^_^

Tonight we are having SteamBoat Diner at Home. Mum insisted to have steamboat at home, so well, we are not going to dine outside... after all we just follow the queen's order... Helping mum to prepare for diner now....

MY very first time....

Wonder what was the very first time?

Well, its an incident associated with a great meal with my best buddy at Sunway Piramid KL.

Not to mention, it was the first time I was hanging out with my wife alone in KL. ^_^

Charmaine(her online nick) drove me to Sunway Piramid to shop, as she mention that there was a new wing. We had our shopping as usual and I bought 1 shirt, and two shorts. After the tiring yet enjoyable shopping spree, we decided to have tea/lunch (it was 3 sumtin -> 4 when we had our meal) in a BBQ+SteamBoat Restaurant.... pardon me as I forgot the name of the place, nor did I took photo of the restaurant.

Well, we ordered the seafood platter for two which include, udon, prawns, scallop, fish, cabbage, chicken, mushroom, baby corn, squid, garlic fried rice, etc
The food was wasn't bad, they were fresh so was the soup base. We were happily enjoying the food and when we were just about full, charmaine suddenly shouted! Oh my! there was a small coarch on our table and its crawling into the plate of food.... we were stunt! without wasting more time, i squash it with my bare hands.... haha ^_^
Charmaine said she don't have the appetite to eat anymore, so we ask the waiter to come here to complain on their restaurant cleanliness! afterall its inside Sunway Piramid! The waiter took away our plate of food, and has a small dicussion with her colleages, shortly their manager came over and apologize on the matter, she said: " sorry, its our fault, so what do you want?". I was suprise on her reply that she did not even offered to replace the meal... yet.... ask for what we desire, without further ado, I replied " we are not going to pay for this meal". And she said " its ok"..... and we left!

What a day! we have RM40 over for lunch today! Thanks to the small coarch that came on to our table... it was the first time I've demanded for a free meal............. it was all good!

I went down Prai to attend a close primary school mate wedding diner at Prai. Went there with lam, see yin and bf.

Her dinner was packed and all tables were full.... as we got in late, we did not manage to get a seat as others. Instead, we had our very own table upstairs of actual the wedding diner. It feels like a primary school reunion is some way.

Ducky in Action

Safe journey dear chicky..... Bon Voyage.

Chicky decided to leave us for the better after 4 days of sharing its joy with us. Let's hope it is resting in peace now...

As for Ducky! Oh... we had a spendid time together till now. Its indeed a cute naughty ducky... it is picky at food.... at first the only food it takes in kang kung vegetables. We tried to feed it with rice, papaya, fish, oranges, chic nibbles and all fails... but luckily recently it is becoming more and more of a big eater! haha the only food that it dislike till now is papaya and oranges. I guess it is afraid of the ORANGE color.... not sure why though.....

Well, enough of the past... today ducky was given a chance to fish for it self... to train up its self survival skill living in a pond. Want to know more? Check out the video clip below:

There are two new borns in my house lately... they are just 2 days old now... and they are darn cute!
Especially when they are just out of their shell... seeing the eggs crack and these little cuties making their way out is just is must see... Ooo

Some must be wondering where these two cuties came from? Well, their mummy is ...... my house ASTRO decoder!! haha... mum actually took back a couple of eggs from the farm and have them warm by the decoder... and Wala! Here they are.....

It was my first time attending my fren's fellowship meet up. It was a pot luck kind of event, where each of us is suppose to bring a type of food (May it be homemade or bought) and share it among ourselves. Special thanks to the Host - Ee Ling and the Coordinator Wan Chin for organzing this event!

I received a mysterious phone call today. From a girl named Joel. She called to invite me for valentines diner on behalf on someone. Suppose to be a surprise she say... :)
She was a cute girl, besides trying to persuade me to go out, she explain to me roughly regarding the arrangement for valentines night, such as romantic diner, the happening events, activities etc which will be held at the penang royal hotel (I have no idea where this hotel is located).
I start to wonder who could this mysterious guy be? well, eventhough i rejected the invitation directly, I already feel like I'm in the movies. I am already delighted with the arrangement although I wont be going to attend. To me, its a really sweet memory. After all, it's the first time!
She persuaded me to reconsider the invitation and let her know if I changed my mind. And! if I needed any hint on the guess of the man behind the scene, she added that I can always contact her.

A day to remember! A day to live for a better tomorrow!

My new Haircut

Finally... after 8 years of having long straight hair, and 3 months of long curly hair... I've decided to have my cut short to shoulder length. Haha, my little brother thought it was hard decision to make after so many years, but actually it was the other way around, because I am pretty fed up with the same image for so many years. Although this new haircut may looks bad... who cares? as long as its something different... right?

Mum brought me to this barber, open by her fren's fren... ( oh that's far..)
Fairly price! it was consider cheap among available hair dresser nowadays! Of cause this shop is not a well known hairdresser, nor is it located a nice shop lots... its actually a house converted to a hair dresser. :)

With a price of RM15, I'm am satisfied with his service and will come back in future...

What a FULL-filling day i had today! My 4th of Feb was full of good food! :) particularly seafood!
I had the most enjoyable lunch today. Why? because we "6" gals, went along ordering food without limits and price constraints ( even during economic downturn... haha), the only show stopper is our stomach! oh... they feel so bursted..... and dinner was again fullfilling with expensive seafood served from BALI HAI....

We had our lunch at AZUMA japanese restaurant QB. Today is a special day for one of colleages. Its her BIG day!! and we her dear frens decided to throw a jap food buffet lunch for her ( its actually ala carte - buffet is just the style we had our lunch) Our lunch came up to RM245 (with 10% discount from the member card)

Marvelous Sunday

What a packed day I had today! Worked from morning till noon. Had family dinner with my relatives at home, fetch my wife from bus station, and then hang out with my friends at temple gathering aka "MIAO HUI" in mandarin and wrap up my night with diner at KOCHA Taiwanese delight.

Lunch was delicious! mum prepared a wide variety of dishes for all of us to savour! We had steam fish, Delicious fried chicken, curry fish head, Sea Cucumber + fish maw vegetable mix (yummy brocolli and variety of mushrooms), Cuttlefish+mushroom+carrot+seng kuang mix, Shang Hai Vegetable+Pork+crab ball soup, sweet sour cucumber mix, Fu Yong Egg etc.
We even had homemade Muah Chee for dessert!

My cousin brother's daughter, very cute and pretty girl : she loves to be brag being a pretty girl.

Temple Gathering aka MIAO HUI

Cute Little 24 Drummers ^_^ The last time I saw this was during my high school days!

Lion Dance! Aplenty of them! I believe today "THE" day I enjoyed so many lion dance performance in many many years.

Dragon Dance! Only one-and-only Dragon who is available that very day.

Chinese Puppet Show. I'm not a fan of it, yet it caught some passer-by's attention

Wondering who she is? The "STAR" of the event for a moment there! This cute little gal was sitting on top of her dad's head while enjoying the 24 little drummers. Coincidentally her dad was standing right behind me, laying my eyes of her, I could not resist but to shout out "Look!! She's is so Cuteee..... and well ya! She is! With my help as well as her looks, seconds later, almost all passer-by caught sight of her, and almost everyone with a camera on their hands, started to snap on her! Check out the crowd urself! well this was just part of it! I have to mention what a talented star she was. This cute girl even responded to the crowd and smile at different angles and various cameras when called by the crowd.

At Khoo Kongsi. The largest (not sure) and most famous "kongsi" in Penang. Just look at the gold cravings, there is even a stage and performers to entertain the crowd!

There were much more activities over there. Different types of performances. Singing base on different dialects, performance of traditional music instruments like "GU ZHEN", local delicacies like "LEI CA", Pig Leg vinegar, Meat Dumpling, Fu Jian Spring Rolls and many many more. There were a huge crowd but luckily the event was big and spread out, thus it was still walkable. All of us had a tiring day visiting, and I felt like i was 20 years older, it was aching all over my body ( I wonder why? ) After the tiring walk, we were straving so we heading to KOCHA to have our diner!

Some of the dishes we had there.

Ma lak Steamboat (Spicy only) and Paper Steamboat (Sweet soup base with some taste of milk)

Three Cups Chicken (It may not look appertizing but it actually is!) and Fried Dumplings (GUO TIE)

We also had fried tofu, mince pork rice and a pot of pearl mo li flower tea.
The paper steamboat, three cups chicken and fried tofu is recommended.
Fried Dumplings taste pretty normal while the Ma lak steamboat only tasted spicy. I do not recommend having the ma lak steamboat unless you are just looking for a spicy soup base!

Is friendship important to you?

To me? Yes it is.. but sometimes I really wonder how actually should true friends treat each other?? Not including hi bye friends, colleages, coursemates, etc. Friends complains abouts me... about how I've treated them. Am I that bad? Am I?

With the reflection of myself, sometimes I felt regret that I did things that way, and made things ended up differently. The recent quarrel with my friend, was mainly due to emails! words may really portray a different meaning from the sender and receiver side. Thus emails should be used wisely, every word counts. Even when talking on the phone, your voice tone will make a big difference. With the words I uttered without going through my pig brain, I hurt my friend. I regretted my actions. Everything could have been undone, if I put more patience into the conversations.

With the recent few arguments with my dear friends, I really believe in applying The Cause and Effect theory to build up good relationships. Life is short even though it may seems long for you now, because before you know it, life will be over. And! There will be things you wish you could do better, things that you wish you have taken courage to do, people that you miss so dearly but spent little or no time on, Dreams which never turn to reality. Everyday is a day to remember, a day to cherish, a day for us to be in control. Don't turn away from difficulties and problem but face them. Face them with a clear mind and pure heart. Be Optimistic but never neglect the consequences. Be hardworking but never forget to rest for the longer journey ahead which awaits you.

Sorry If I've done things wrongly. Please be patience with me, I'm also learning to be a better person.

Today?

1) Clean my room. Fix my new wall rack, and shelf!! yippy, love my new furniture! why? because they are cheap!! Well of they look better than the old ones..

2)Made some cookies again.. why? because of the left over ingredients that is... first batch was fine... second batch... burnt again!! i guess I am really bad at baking!

3)Played Nintendo wii! Today is the first time I really step in and play Nintendo wii... ok ok, I know I may sound abit "Jungle". Fell in love with the it dy! its so fun! Played, tenis, baseball, bowling, golf, boxing... all lost to my bro except bowling!! hehe got 3 strike in a row!! recorded a new high score... yippy...
Also tried wii fit, not bad indeed...

Alright, enough excitement for a day! going to prepare for bed now...

What a busy week i had at work. A couple of things pop up from no where and i had to handle yet I am not familiar with it. Quite fed up when trying to complete them... it has been quite awhile since i need to deal with pressure like this. Gosh!! hope things will clear up next week!

But one thing have change for sure, is that I don't plan to 100% work over the weekends to get them done! sat? yes, planning to complete some of the task. But sun? reserve for my two best buddies for CNY cookies baking session!! Will post some photos afterwards.

Sat: Work on VHDL to verilog conversion! :- still struggling.... Ivan (big bro best fren) came over to visit, so had a few chats with them. Ivan brought his gf along, her name? Melissa!! Pretty gal ooo. Handsome guy + Pretty gal ^_^ a prefect match.

Sun: Went to market early morning with mum. Spend ~RM19 at auntie rose baking store(gosh... the auntie rose is damn expensive.... no more next time) Then went to sunshine to buy a couple of things... spend RM35... :) Was late for cookie making session... contacted lam when i reach home. Ivy also reach my hse abt the same time.. lucky lucky.

The baking session was superb!! why? because I get to have my two best buddies doing it with me! it is just so sweet right? Today is a day to be remember of! thus I took some photos of our masterpieces... although not really successful... its really a enjoyable yet tiring cookie making process! We made, peanut cookies, sugee cookies, cornflakes cookies, and cornflakes cups ( this taste the best!! ). Sad thing is that some of the cookies were burnt! haha we were busy making new ones, while we neglected the ones in the oven and burnt them up! what a waste! The most successful cookies is the cornflakes mix cups, where minimal baking is needed! its so easy yet so delicious to make! Thanks pal for sharing it with us!! hoo hoo... yummy yummy.. i kept on eating that non-stop...

1st Weekends of 2009

1st week of the new year and I am still in holiday mood.

Oh ya, one of my close friend just went to US for work duty. Wow! nice.... being able to travel overseas during recession is just superb!! just imagine getting the extra bucks while others are actually earning less due to company shut downs, VSS, pay cut etc. Ain't it just sweet?

What I want to do for the weekends of 2009? For 2009, I'm not going to work through my weekends anymore! Even if i need to work, i want to get some of my personal stuff done as well.

Sat : Made Tiramisu cake! Genting Vouchers on Sale!

Sun : Bake cornflakes cookies! Meet up with Anthea for dinner tonight.

Wow.... I can barely see the sparks beneath the more than an inch thick dust build up here...
After thinking through new years eve, I've decided to have my blog maintain for year 2009. Still not sure if this can be accomplish but I sure hope I can.

There are a bunch of things in my to do list this year and I really hope I can achieve at least 80% of them...

Reading through others blog, makes me reflect back what I've achieve for the past year, and the reflection is really terrible. A total disappointment in myself.
This is the first blog of the year 2009! Horray! Lets cheer for a better tomorrow!

Will update my blog much more often now. Hope that this will not be just stop for remembrance for myself in the future but also serve well as a reminder and reflection of myself. Let's all fight for a better tomorrow.

I love my mum~ nothing much, i just finish talking to her through skype. she's so cute~! :p cant stop thinking of her. was suppose to prepare for my presentation tomolo but then... ended up talking to her. and then continue to blog!
